Werner Betzenbichler, CEO of verico SCE, is a physicist, managing director of his own consulting company beCe carbon experts GmbH, and executive director of the Designated Operational Entities and Independent Entities Association (D.I.A.). During his professional career, he gained deep insights and experience in various accreditation schemes, including those under CDM, JI or EU-ETS. He has often been directly involved in the development and application of the legal framework and policies of these systems. He has been involved in MRV (monitoring, reporting, verification) of climate-damaging greenhouse gases for nearly 20 years, and has provided testing services and training across all emitter groups and industry sectors
