Verification of reports according to F-Gas regulation

According to Article 19 of Regulation (EC) No 517/2014, the production, import, including gases in equipment, export of gases, use as raw material and destruction of substances listed in Annexes I or II to the Regulation must be reported annually before March 31 for the previous calendar year. Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 1191/2014, dated 30.10.2014, determines the format and ways of submitting the report. Companies must submit their reports via the electronic reporting tool provided by the European Environment Agency (EEA) , which can be accessed from the F-Gas portal on the European Commission's website.
Who must report:
- Producers, importers, or exporters who produced, imported, or exported one metric ton or 100 metric tons of CO₂-equivalent or more of fluorinated greenhouse gases and gases listed in Annex II, including the companies (producers or importers) to which the quotas were transferred
- Companies that have destroyed one metric ton or 1,000 metric tons of CO₂-equivalent or more of fluorinated greenhouse gases and gases listed in Annex II
- Companies using 1,000 metric tons of CO₂-equivalent fluorinated greenhouse gases as raw materials
- Companies that have placed 500 metric tons of CO₂ equivalents of fluorinated gases or gases listed in Annex II on the market in products or equipment
- Companies that have placed on the market filled refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment in which the hydrofluorocarbons contained in this equipment have not previously been placed on the Union market. Prior to March 31, 2018, and each year thereafter, the underlying Declaration of Conformity must be subject to verification, i.e., an independent auditor verifies the accuracy of the Declaration of Conformity in accordance with IMPLEMENTATION REGULATION (EU) 2016/879 and confirms conformity at an appropriate level of assurance.
